How About a Bit of a Challenge?!!

Can you believe that the first quarter of 2011 is behind us?!! As it’s the beginning of a new month it must be time to share some new challenges with you!

1 FS2S April 2011 challenge

First off is the April challenge over at ‘From Screen 2 Scrap’…This months movie poster inspiration comes from ‘Singing In The Rain’. I love this film & it’s very appropriate for April & it’s accompanying showers!

The extra criteria was to include 1. a ‘Rain Themed Title…2. ’An umbrella & 3. use things in three’s!!

So, I got my thinking head on & came up with this…

2 Sunshine & Showers
I have used one of these photo’s on a LO before, but it was too good an opportunity to pass up as Alex was playing with an umbrella!!!  I got out my seed bead threading gadget to make the sun & those swirls, cut those brollies on my silhouette & used three clouds, three brollies, three daisies, three photo’s, three colours in the title…& I think the title qualifies!!

So why not play along with us this month…we had some amazing entries for the ‘Vertigo’ challenge in March & there are even more awesome prizes up for grabs this month!!!

Apr-2011Then of course there’s a new kit OUT NOW over at Dixie Pieces…called ‘Sew Silhouette’…it is gorgeous!! All Black & Burgundy & Vintage!!!

For full details of what’s in it just go HERE…my favourite item was the laser cut wooden lamp/sign post, closely followed by the fabulous rub-on shabby red alpha’s!! Of course the tickets were rather lovely too……

Anyhow, here is what I did with mine…

 4 BelleOfStMarks

6 MothersDay

I mentioned before that my kit was a little delayed in arriving, so I do have a third LO that is still a work in progress, so I will have to share that with you at a later date!!

7 ThinkingOfYou I have so much left over from it, these Dixie Pieces kits are just such good value & everything is always chosen & put together so beautifully!

And what about the challenges over at Dixie Pieces, I hear you ask?!!! Well, there are only a few for the beginning of this month as we will be holding a weekend on-line Crop from the 15th-17th April with challenges & games a-plenty!! I’ll fill you in with more details on that next week!!

My challenge for April 1st is to do with ‘April Showers’…To create a LO using the theme of Rain…I chose one of my archived LO’s as the example for this one!

It’s one of my favourites & features Nathan after being caught out in a heavy downpour!!  As usual he had ignored my advice to take a coat!!

So there’s another opportunity for you to play along & get into the draw for a $15 Dixie Pieces shop voucher….& more fabulous prizes will be on offer for the on-line crop later this month!!

So that’s me up-to-date with my creative bits!!  Thanks for stopping by & I hope you’re having a great weekend!! :)

Your attention to details always has me enthralled! I love that lamp post and what you have done with it - it's like the one we have outside our front door, so I'll be on the lookout for one of my own I think!
