After my seriously scrappy evening on Tuesday, I’ve been able to keep the ball rolling! I was able to submit my LO for the February challenge over at ‘From Screen To Scrap’ which I will share with you in…well…February! I also did some work on my ‘Catch-Up’ resolution, but I’ll wait to share that with you when the project is complete!
What I can share are the four projects completed for the January sketch challenges over at ‘Dixie Pieces’…there are seven in all, plus an extra challenge to recycle Christmas cards in a LO or project…I’m hoping to complete that one too before the deadline of January 31st…do pop over & check them out for yourself!
First up is a sketch for a LO, posted by Kim aka Scrapeekim, who is the design team coordinator over at ‘Dixie Pieces’.
And here is what I did with it…
I have had these ‘Cogs-mo Cricket’ PP’s in my stash for months, & this sketch was just perfect, I felt!! The photo’s are also long overdue for scrapping…Lee & boys in 2005. messing about with some chocolate eyeballs, left over from Halloween!! I do love a bit of fussy cutting!!
Next was a card sketch from Tammy, a fellow design team member, which for some strange reason I cannot get to ‘insert’ here! So I’ll just show you what I did with it…
I don’t make many cards these days, so it makes a nice change to work on something that can be completed so quickly!!
And another card sketch, this time from Kim…
…which, as I need a card for Nathans birthday in February, I made using masculine PP’s & a scooter embellishment I’ve been saving for just this occasion!!
Hope he’ll like it!!
Finally, a Layout sketch from Tammy, a very simple sketch open to all sorts of interpretation!
And here is my Layout…
The photo is from 2008 & is of myself & some scrappy friends at ‘Ally Pally’ for the Big Stamp & Scrapbook Show…I think the title says it all!!
That’s it for now…I’m off now to tackle the ironing (yes Karen, you read it right!!) When I told Lee this morning that I was going to try & make a big dent in my ironing backlog today, do you know what he said?…he said “ Why…are you going to sit on it?” Hmmmm!! Don’t you dare laugh, remember who’s side you're on!!!! LOL!!
Thanks for dropping by & I wish you all a great weekend!! : )

Love the ironing quip,Sandi....it's one of my pet hates as well!
And I love the 'budget blown' page....that happens every time I go to Ally Pally!!!!
Loving the layouts especially the cosmo one - such a talented lady. Good luck with the ironing - I find once I start I quite enjoy making clothes flat!!!
Super projects! I looked at the first sketch and thought, 'Gosh, there's so much going on there...' but you've made it all work together so well :-)
What's ironing???
Gorgeous work as always. Love the details and color combo.
oh wow, such gorgeous projects, when you're on a roll, you sure do produce stunning, stunning goodies.
phew that first sketch was such a challenge and the last one was as well because it was the opposite and sooo simple.Reminded me why I don't want to be on a design team anymore!
But you worked wonders with them.Well done.
Can we see a picture as evidence of the ironing completed.I will only believe it when I see it with my own eyes.
Hmmm- that's the sort of thing my other half would say - and I love your projects, specially the 'Ally Pally' one - gorgeous x
OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH look at all of the scrappy goodness going on!!! I love the one with you and the girls...the punched paper and colors are so perfect and I giggled at the title!!!!
The Cosmo LO is adorable...love the title and the pics...great papers!!!!
No smart comments from me about making the dent in the ironing...... :-)
Love ya sweet friend and have a great weekend!!!
How fun to see these Layout Sketches, and then see what you did with them. You do such beautiful work, Sandi.
Also, I wanted to let you know how fun it is to read your movie reviews. Thank you for posting those. : )
